BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green man is facing a rape charge after officers responded for an investigation on Wednesday.

According to a uniform citation, The Bowling Green Police Department spoke to a victim, who advised she had been raped by Robert Burr.

The victim stated the incident had taken place earlier this week and that she had “told Burr to stop numerous times” or kept saying “no” when he made physical and sexual contact with her, according to police.

Police stated they mirandized Burr, who stated he didn’t want to speak to detectives.

After Burr was transported for a sexual assault examination collection kit and processing at The Medical Center at Bowling Green, he was later lodged at the Warren County Detention Center.

Police stated Burr “engaged in sexual intercourse” with the victim “by forcible compulsion,” according to the uniform citation.

Burr has since been released from the detention center.
