Bowling Green man arrested in Arkansas, 22 pounds of marijuana found, troopers say

VAN BUREN, Ark. – A Bowling Green man is facing charges after a vehicle search in Arkansas.
According to a release by the Arkansas State Police, on Wednesday, June 5, troopers stopped a 2003 white Kia Soul near the two-mile marker on Interstate 40 eastbound in Crawford County for a traffic violation.
The driver was identified as 25-year-old Benjamin Joyner of Bowling Green, Kentucky.
During a search of the vehicle, troopers say they located 22 pounds of illegal marijuana inside vacuum-sealed bags, around 3 pounds of psilocybin mushrooms, 2,400 THC vape cartridges and 5 pounds of THC concentrate.
Joyner was arrested and transported to the Crawford County Detention Center. He faces felony charges of trafficking a controlled substance, possession with purpose to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Joyner told investigators he was traveling from Los Angeles, California, to Kentucky, authorities say.
