Bowling Green accepting bids for Bluegrass Farms Boulevard extension

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Bids are now open for a major Bowling Green project.

The City of Bowling Green is accepting bids for the Bluegrass Farms Boulevard extension.

In October of 2023, the city approved an agreement with a development company to split the cost of the extension.

The extension will be a mile-long and located off of Interstate 65 near Camping World, which would be a visible location from the interstate.

The plan for the extension is to create new retail opportunities that will attract the South Central Kentucky community, neighboring city residents and those looking to relocate.

In our original report, City Manager of Bowling Green Jeff Miesel shared the city’s belief that the project will improve quality of life.

“People look for stuff like this when they are looking for a place to relocate. We look for these types of partnerships where we can partner with private developers or private landowners and have a win-win. So, it’s happening it’s under design as we speak,” said Miesel.

Bidding information is now available at the city’s website at https://www.bgky.org/bids.
