BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Kentucky man is charged with driving under the influence at a Bowling Green McDonald’s on Saturday, police say.

According to a uniform citation, the Bowling Green Police Department responded to the McDonald’s at 1925 Russellville Road for a welfare check.

Police say at the scene, they observed 25-year-old Hunter Arnett of Frankfort, Kentucky slumped over in the driver seat with the vehicle on and keys in the ignition. The caller stated Arnett had been at the scene for about 15 minutes.

The uniform citation states once Arnett woke up, he had slurred speech, and officers located a bottle of New Amsterdam in the cup holder with about a third of the bottle empty.

Police say Arnett resisted arrest and later threatened officers and called medical staff profanities after being taken into custody.

Arnett has previously been arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence on January 23, 2020 and December 21, 2019, the uniform citation states. Police say he was convicted of both crimes in February 2020.

Arnett was transported to the Warren County Detention Center and faces charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, third offense (aggravating circumstances), possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in motor vehicle prohibited, third-degree terroristic threatening, second-degree disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
