Wanted Tennessee man tied to ‘violent crime’ in Warren County captured, police say

SUMNER COUNTY, Tenn. – A wanted man who allegedly has involvement in a Warren County case has been taken into custody.

On Wednesday, the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office responded to an anonymous tip to the location of Steven Carter of Westmoreland, Tennessee.

Acting on the tip, B Squad deputies located Carter on Clyde Wix Road in Westmoreland, authorities say. Carter was apprehended without incident.

According to a Facebook post by the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office, Carter has felony warrants in Tennessee. The sheriff’s office Facebook page also states that Carter has ties to a violent crime in Warren County.

Details surrounding the case in Warren County have not yet been released.

Carter is charged in Sumner County, Tennessee with firearm possession, weapon possession, reckless endangerment and three counts of failure to appear on aggravated assault.
