Event guide: Earth Day activities through April 28

Earth Day is April 22, but you can start celebrating the planet as early as Friday. Here is your guide to local Earth Day events in south-central Kentucky:
Friday, April 19
- WKU Earth Day Celebration from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Centennial Mall. More here.
Saturday, April 20
- Mammoth Cave National Park Volunteer Clean-up for Earth Day from 8 a.m. to noon. More here. Mammoth Cave will also host its Wildflower Day Celebration.
- BikeWalk BG Earth Day Earth Day Community Bike Ride at 9 a.m. at Weldon Peete Park. More here.
- Hotel Inc and Delafield Co-Op Market Earth Day from 10:30 a.m. to noon at 1005 Boatlanding Road in Bowling Green. More here.
Monday, April 22 – Friday, April 28
- National Park Week lasts through April 28.
- Earth Week begins at Lost River Cave in Bowling Green. More here. Events include the following:
- April 22: Yoga at the Cave.
- April 23: Volunteer Day at Lost River Cave.
- April 23: Guided Hike – Karst Features Hidden in Plain Sight.
- April 24: World of the Colletes Bees.
- April 25: Volunteer Day.
- April 26: Water Quality in Karst.
- April 27: Meadow BioBlitz.
