Units respond to structure fire in Russellville

RUSSELLVILLE, Ky. – Multiple units responded to a structure fire Tuesday off of Cecil Huffines Road in Russellville, Kentucky.

According to the Russellville Fire Department, firefighters located an active fire at a single-story barn with fuel and rubber causing hazards.

With assistance from multiple local fire departments, fire officials say they used over 11,000 gallons of water to contain the fire.

The Russellville Fire Department was assisted by the Adairville Fire Department, Auburn Rural Fire Department and Logan County chaplains. Additional work was done to check for hotspots underneath debris, officials say.

The cause of the fire has not been released at this time.
