Man arrested on drug charges in Allen County

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – A man was arrested Wednesday on multiple drug charges in Allen County.

The Allen County Sheriff’s Office says it stopped a vehicle around 4 p.m. near the 1,000 block of Carter Church Road. The driver was identified as Zachary Pace, 26.

Deputies say they noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, prompting a search. Authorities say they found about 4.5 ounces of marijuana, a handgun and several marijuana joints within the vehicle, along with a large amount of U.S. currency and $1 folded that contained cocaine.

Pace was taken into custody and transported to the Allen County Detention Center.

He faces charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense (cocaine) (enhancement) and trafficking in marijuana, first offense (less than 8 ounces) (enhancement).
