Bowling Green man charged with rape, sexual abuse

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green man is facing rape and sexual abuse charges as part of an ongoing investigation.

According to a uniform citation, the Bowling Green Police Department responded on Wednesday for a delayed report of rape.

The citation states the suspect was identified as Obedi Ishmail, 18, who was taken into custody at his home on Gordon Avenue and transported to police headquarters.

After being read his Miranda Rights and agreeing to speak with police, authorities say Ishmail was arrested. He remains at the Warren County Detention Center as of Thursday afternoon on a $10,000 cash bond.
