Deputies make drug arrest in Allen County

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – Two people have been arrested on drug charges in Allen County.

The Allen County Sheriff’s Office says it responded to Pleasant Field Church Road Wednesday for a report of a suspicious vehicle, where a woman was sleeping.

Deputies say they discovered a woman, identified as Latasha Smith, and a man, identified as Jonathan Meador, 40, asleep in the vehicle.

The sheriff’s office says it also learned Meador possessed a clear plastic bag containing methamphetamine and a methamphetamine pipe. Smith was taken into custody on warrants for her arrest out of Barren County.

Each is facing charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and drug paraphernalia – buy/possess.

Both were transported to the Allen County Detention Center.
