UPDATE: Name released in fatal bicycle collision on Nashville Road

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Authorities have released further details after a bicyclist died in a collision on Nashville Road.

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office says it received a 911 call Sunday night and responded to the 10,000 block of Nashville Road for a collision between a vehicle and bicyclist.

Deputies say they observed a 2010 Silver Ford Edge with damage to the front end.

Both the vehicle and bicyclist were traveling southbound on U.S. 31-W Bypass when the collision occurred, authorities say. The bicyclist, identified as James Edward Summers, 34, of Franklin, Kentucky, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver and passenger of the vehicle were not injured.
