2 flown to hospital after early morning apartment fire

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Two people have been hospitalized after an apartment fire Monday in Bowling Green.

According to the Bowling Green Fire Department, units responded around 6:22 a.m. to the 500 block of Lost Circle to an apartment with visible smoke.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire. Two victims were removed and flown to an area hospital, officials say.

Their current conditions have not been released at this time.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
