BGMU back online, monitoring equipment closely
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Around 5,000 households were without power on Monday evening after machinery failed in the cold that has bitten south central Kentucky.
It was just under 2 hours but long enough for many in Bowling Green as the Cabell substation of Bowling Green Municipal Utilities failed due to it just being too dang cold. After power had been cut from the homes, BGMU diverted power from another substation to get the lights back on until they could fix it for sure later on in the evening.
Right now everything is stable, and they are watching all the substations closely this week.
