KSP DUI Checkpoint update

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – New Years Eve is a hectic time for Kentucky State Patrol who are out in force trying to keep impaired motorists off of the highways.

This year was no different and according to KSP PIO Katan Parker, it was business as usual, running checkpoints and ensuring that no one was hurt in the process.

“There were a few across the eight counties, even with just our as I know. I think they were successful. I think 23 to 24 transition went as smooth as it could have gone. I think I feel like everybody made it home safely and everybody saw the high police visibility and that we were being proactive with our jobs.” Parker said.

Parker hopes that everyone will think about themselves and their families before driving impaired. He believes that if we all buckle up and make sure we aren’t operating vehicles after consuming alcohol that we can all have a safe year.
