Food Truck Friend-zie helps Ladybugs Fritters & Fries after devastating fire

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The food truck community is rallying behind one of their own, who lost their truck in a devastating fire.

Food Truck Friend-zie took place on Thursday near the Sloan Convention Center.

Over 20 different food trucks from the area were in attendance, with a portion of their proceeds going towards the owner of Ladybugs Fritters and Fries, who were forced to close their truck after six and a half years.

For one owner who organized this fundraiser, getting 20 food trucks instead of one or two was overwhelming.

“We are all very competitive as business owners… as entrepreneurs. We are extremely competitive. For us to be able to say this isn’t about us, this is about them is huge because this is their moment, and we want to be here to help them,” Ashley Yawn, owner of Pippin-Pop Popcorn Shoppe says.

Trucks were set up from 4 PM until 7:30 PM. Santa was in attendance, and a bouncy house was available for the kids as well.
