Bowling Green man charged with burglary in Glasgow

GLASGOW, Ky. – A Bowling Green man is facing charges after police say he ran from a business in Glasgow.

On Oct. 18, the Glasgow Police Department says it responded to Shoopman’s Towing for a burglary complaint.

Police say when they arrived, they say they found the fence at the lot had been cut and saw a male subject running from the scene.

According to police, Joseph Dearmond Jr., 43, was apprehended a short time later.

Dearmond was arrested and faces charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense (methamphetamine), drug paraphernalia, possession of burglary tools, third-degree burglary, second-degree fleeing or evading police (on foot) and third-degree criminal mischief.

Dearmond was taken to the Barren County Detention Center.
