St. Teresa Ministries celebrates World Food Day

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- Tuesday was World Food Day, and to celebrate St. Teresa Ministries was doing big things for Bowling Green.

The local nonprofit donated over $80,000 and several food items to honor MEALS Inc., St. Joseph Food Pantry, Holy Spirit Food Pantry and Holy Spirit International Outreach.

These pantries have been providing food and support to people in the community for more than 50 years, and according to Bill Oldham, the President of MEALS Inc.; they don’t plan on stopping any time soon.

Oldham shares, “We have a long history of providing meals every Saturday. Rain, snow, Christmas day, Christmas eve, we’re- we’re out early that morning, every Saturday morning fixing meals and delivering them, and trying to provide not a meal that just gives enough calories, but also quality meals.”

With the help of St. Teresa Ministries, many other nonprofits can provide meals and support that get support from MEALS Inc. every Saturday. For more information visit https://fccbg.org/meals-inc/.
