Bowling Green resident sentenced in connection to drug trafficking and firearm possession
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green man faces more than eight years in prison in relation to drug trafficking and illegal firearm possession.
The United States Attorney’s Office, Western District of Kentucky says Joshua Moore, 39, was sentenced Thursday to eight years and four months in federal prison.
Officials say court documents show Moore possessed a pistol in December 2021 despite being previously convicted of felony offenses. According to officials, all of offenses took place in Warren County, which included distribution of methamphetamine, possession with the intent to distribute a substance containing methamphetamine, fleeing or evading police and more.
In addition to his eight-year and 4-monthsentence, officials say Moore has also been sentenced to four years and three months in prison for violating the terms of a supervised release. However, the sentences were ordered to run concurrently with each other, reaching a total sentence of eight years and four months in prison.
Following his release, Moore is ordered to serve four years of supervised release.
