Longtime Allen County paint plant catches fire

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – A longtime Allen County paint plant caught fire overnight and was still burning as of Tuesday afternoon.

S&W Coatings, located at 4242 Old Hartsville Road, reportedly caught fire and saw significant damage.

As of Tuesday afternoon, the plant has severe damage and was still actively burning.

Both buildings are completely damaged, with ashes still falling at the site. Smoke clouds are also visible.

Multiple small fires are still active at the location. Scottsville Allen County Fire Chief Michael Cooksey says the plant will continue to burn throughout the day.
