I-65 closures to take place next week starting Aug. 7

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – This coming week, evening traffic flow will be a little slower going both north and southbound on I-65 around the Barren County area.

News 40 spoke to Wes Watt with the Kentucky Cabinet of Transportation, who released to the public that the highway will be operating with just one lane between the hours of 7 p.m. and 6 a.m., August 7 through August 10.

Watt said the road will undergo a large resurfacing project during this time and asks the public to be patient and cautious. According to Watt, motorists should expect some delays next week while traveling between mile markers 43 and 48 both up and down the interstate.
