Med Center hosts blood drive in honor of officer Matt Davis

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The American Red Cross teamed up with Med Center Health to put on a blood drive in honor of officer Matt Davis of the Bowling Green Police Department.

Officer Davis continues to recover from gunshot injuries he sustained in the line of duty last month while responding to a call on Russellville Road.

The drive also had a station selling t-shirts honoring Davis, and proceeds from these go directly into the fund set up last month for the Davis family in order to assist them through this traumatic period.

“We really hope people come out to show support, not just for officer Davis and his family, but just to show community support,” Corie Martin, Med Center Health public relations manager, said.
