VIDEO: Surveillance shows scene of Muse apartments on night of reported assault

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WARNING: The following video may be disturbing.

The video above shows the scene moments before what appears to be 21-year-old Ayanna Morgan being assaulted at the Muse apartments in Bowling Green Sunday night.

If you watch above, this surveillance video shows a courtyard at the Muse around 9:43 pm. and what appears to be Morgan walking into the courtyard and approaching a group of men.

You can see one of the men hit Morgan repeatedly before Morgan begins chasing him around a vehicle.

Seconds later, Morgan is seen struggling with two men near the vehicle, who appear to be trying to pry something from her hands before they wrestle her to the ground.

Bowling Green police say they got a call about an assault at the Muse apartments at 10:09 p.m. Officers say a second call came in seconds later that someone had been shot.

BGPD says it arrived at the Muse at 10:12 p.m. Sunday and found Morgan on the ground with a gunshot wound.

Morgan was flown to a Nashville hospital, where she later died.

Police continue to search for a suspect, Malik Jones, who police say is wanted on a warrant in connection to Morgan’s death.

Jones is considered armed and dangerous. If you see him, do not approach and call 911.
