Groovy Gus Donut Bus celebrates permanent location at storefront

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Groovy Gus Donuts is celebrating its permanent home in the Bowling Green community.

Originally created as the Groovy Gus Donut Bus in 2019, Steve and Cindi Garden have now opened a physical shop in the Ford Centre on Scottsville Road.

The new store will serve gluten-free options every Wednesday and Saturday as well as coffee and apple cider slushies.

Steve and Cindi Garden say they are excited to spread joy to the Bowling Green community, one donut at a time.

“When you see people walk away, you know, ‘Wow, we’ve been waiting for you guys to come here’ or ‘These are so good’ or, you know, ‘My friends said that we needed to stop by here,’ that means that you’ve done something different for them in a day that otherwise they wouldn’t have enjoyed,” they said.

They both say they still plan to bring the food truck out into the community on a limited basis until the shop is running smoothly.
