Edmonson County man wins $115,600 in Kentucky Lottery’s Pick 4

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Brownsville man won big after his Pick 4 numbers were chosen during a drawing.
James Payton Jr. said he plays the Kentucky Lottery’s Pick 4 game daily, but March 5 became his lucky day.
Payton said he usually uses the month and day he was born as his numbers.
Just minutes after purchasing his ticket from BP Fastrac on Nashville Road in Bowling Green, Payton found out using his birthday was about to pay off in a big way.
Payton said he was with his girlfriend when he pulled the Pick 4 numbers up on his phone, winning $115,600.
The Edmonson County man drove to lottery headquarters the next day, where he received $82,654 after taxes.
He told lottery officials the money will go toward purchasing a van for his general contracting business. BP Fastrac will receive $1,156 for selling the winning ticket.
