Celebrating Fire Chief Brian Lee’s 30 years of heroic service

A tribute to the Richardsville volunteer fire department chief who devoted his life to rescuing others

RICHARDSVILLE, Ky. – Here at News 40, we want to extend a huge thank you and congratulations to Fire Chief Brian Lee for your 30 years of service at the Richardsville Volunteer Fire Department.

From the time he joined in 1993 at 18 years old, Chief Lee has volunteered his life to rescue others in need.

In 2008, Lee earned his present title as Richardsville Fire Department chief: an accolade his brothers at the station say he’s made the most of.

Fellow volunteer firefighter and friend Chris Smith contends the chief’s hardworking behind-the-scenes work ethic has grown the fire department to what it’s become today.

“Chief Lee is a great person. Hard-working, caring, devoted to his community – speaking with a homeowner, if they just had a shed to burn. He’s just a caring individual.”

Both the fire department and community have poured out their love to Lee on social media– comments one after the other praising Lee for his unwavering commitment to his department, family, church, and community.
