BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Arts of Southern Kentucky has announced Jesse McFarland is casted to play in Ramsey Theatre Company’s production of “Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.”

Arts of Southern Kentucky says McFarland has several credits to his name, and he will soon add the Beast to that list.

“Growing up I never had the chance to experience ‘Beauty and the Beast’ and fall in love with the story like most kids my age did. As I started doing theatre, I was exposed to the characters and the story, and The Beast quickly became a dream role of mine,” Jesse McFarland said. “I feel so fortunate and lucky to be playing such an iconic character with Ramsey Theatre Company in their first production. I think it is so important for everyone to be exposed to theatre and the escapism it offers. To be lucky enough to help bring that to Bowling Green in a role that is very important to me, is fulfilling in a way that is hard to describe.”

To accommodate friends and family of the cast, and to keep up with the high demand of interested patrons, the Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center has opened seating for an additional performance on Friday, June 23 at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets for this newly-added performance are on sale now.

McFarland is the most recent addition to Ramsey Theatre Company, joining previously announced cast members Emily Pellecchia and Craig Schulman.

Tickets are on sale now and are available online at theyskypac.com, by calling 270-904-1880 or in person at 601 College Ave. in downtown Bowling Green. Prices start at $20.

The original Saturday, June 24 performance is almost sold out.
