Norton Children’s Hospital Facility Dogs featured on CBS show ‘Lucky Dog’
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -A group of furry friends in Kentucky are making their national debut on television.
Norton Children’s Hospital’s facility dogs are going to be featured on the hit CBS show Lucky Dog. The show finds dogs that are doing great things in their community.
There are 11 facility dogs in total. The dogs help patients during recovery- motivating them to get moving, providing comfort if they’re in pain, or ease anxiety of the unknowns.
“I am so excited about this just to get the word out about the great work that our dog handler teams are doing and how it’s helping our patients and families everyday. I get to see that everyday when I’m here in the hospital and getting to share a little bit of that with everyone else is exciting,” said Norton Children’s manager of child life Heather Stohr.
The show airs this Saturday at 10 a.m. E.T. on CBS.
