Bowling Green man charged with trafficking fentanyl after overdose death

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A separate overdose death case within one week in Warren County has resulted in another arrest.
The Warren County Sheriff’s Office says it responded around 6:08 a.m. Wednesday to Mt. Olivet Road for an overdose involving fentanyl.
Police say upon arrival, Narcan and CPR were administered to the victim but the individual remained unresponsive.
Jeffrey Wilson, 33, of Bowling Green was pronounced dead.
The Warren County Sheriff’s Office and Bowling Green- Warren County Drug Task Force obtained a search warrant for another address they say was involved in the investigation.
Authorities conducted a search at the residence at Gunsmoke Trail Way, where they say they seized methamphetamine and fentanyl.
Kevin Watwood, 43, of Bowling Green was detained and faces charges of trafficking in fentanyl and possession of methamphetamine.
He remains in the Warren County Detention Center with a $25,000 bond.
Medical Center EMS, Richardsville Volunteer Fire, Warren County and WCSO chaplains also assisted with the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
