Former WKU and BGHS football player released on shock probation

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- A former Western Kentucky University football player who was sentenced to five years in prison in June for trafficking cocaine was granted shock probation Monday.

Warren Circuit Judge John Grise sentenced Nacarius Fant, 23, last month on five cocaine trafficking charges that Fant pleaded guilty to in March.

Monday, Grise granted Fant shock probation, according to Warren Circuit court records. The Department of Probation and Parole will supervise Fant for five years.

As a condition of his release, he is to have no new criminal offenses.

The former wide receiver was arrested last August on cocaine trafficking charges.
