Rubik’s Cube promposal in Allen County
ALLEN COUNTY, Ky. – At the Allen County Scottsville High School, one young couple is the talk of the town.
Anthony Stovall and Shelby Costello have been dating since December of 2021, and the day after Valentine’s Day will be a day neither of them will ever forget. That’s because Anthony presented a portrait to his girlfriend, made out of 600 small Rubik’s Cubes.
It was a big to do with only a few people knowing the secret plan, and Anthony made sure to do it up right for his girl. There was a red carpet, rose petals, he was in a toga and of course standing next to the 4 foot tall display of affection as a way of asking her to attend prom with him.
If you’re wondering why he was in a toga, it’s because Shelby has a big thing for Greek mythology. A truly romantic gesture indeed, inspired by none other than Tiktok. Anthony said it took him about a month to get his project in order, with his parents and classmates very impressed at his accomplishment. Anthony told News 40 his record for solving a Rubik’s cube is 32 seconds, but solving 600 does take some time, especially when trying to get the right colors displayed.
Love can be puzzling for sure but it seems like Anthony has it figured out so far!
