Bowling Green puppy enters the celebrity life

BOWLING GREEN Ky.- It’s always good when a rescue pet is taken in by a new family. A certain rescue pet that once called the Bowling Green-Warren County Humane Society, home, has recently stepped into the world of fame.

County music singer and songwriter Dierks Bentley adopted Goose, who was formerly named Garrett.

Goose was a rescue puppy who spent his early days in the Bowling Green-Warren County Humane Society. From there, he was sent to a rescue partner organization called Muddy Paws Rescue in New York.

Bentley adopted Goose on an episode of the Today Show.

Adoption Center operations manager for the Bowling Green-Warren County Humane Society, Mallory O’Neil, said she’s so happy this pup found a new home.

“We were so excited. I think all the staff jumped up and down in excitement. This little animal that we loved and took care of on a daily basis was sent to a rescue group and then a celebrity adopted him. That shows us that you never know what happy homes these animals could end up in,” O’Neil said.
