Gov. Andy Beshear orders flags to half-staff for Tennessee National Guard pilots

FRANKFORT, Ky. – Gov. Andy Beshear has ordered that flags at all state buildings be lowered after two pilots died in a helicopter crash.
The governor’s office says both men died during a crash involving a UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter in Alabama on Wednesday.
According to Beshear, one of the pilots, chief warrant officer 3 Danny Randolph of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, participated in search and rescue efforts following the devastating floods in eastern Kentucky in July. Chief warrant officer 3 Daniel Wadham was the second pilot who died in the crash.
“We mourn the loss of these heroes and join with Tennessee in honoring their lives and their commitment to their fellow Americans,” the governor said.
All individuals, businesses, organizations and government agencies are encouraged to participate.
