Reminder: Here’s where to sign up for severe weather alerts

WARREN COUNTY, Ky. – Warren County Emergency Management says two tornado sirens in Warren County are currently not working.
Officials say the two warning sirens that are not operational are at Detour Road and Basil Griffin Park.
WCEM says there is a possibility for severe weather tonight and tomorrow.
This is an important reminder to always have a backup weather alert on your phone, especially since emergency management says the warning sirens are meant as an outdoor warning.
The first alert involves NOAA warnings, which are sent out only to those within the warning box for a tornado. You may see this featured on a weather forecast during a tornado warning.
This type of alert is often also used for amber alerts or other serious matters and will automatically be sent without you signing up.
The second alert, AlertSense, is one residents can sign up for. AlertSense is free to the public and will send notifications no matter where you live in Warren County.
