Police investigating after pedestrian hit by train in Simpson County
FRANKLIN, Ky. – Franklin Police say a person has been struck by a train in Simpson County.
Around 3:26 p.m. Monday, Franklin Police and Franklin EMS were dispatched to North Main Street behind Stark Truss Company, Inc.
Police say a CSX train hit a pedestrian at the location when the train and victim were traveling southbound. The train was sounding its horn prior to the collision, according to police.
The identity of the pedestrian is unknown at this time.
Police say the victim will be flown to the hospital for treatment.
The incident remains under investigation.
