Alleged murder plotter from Smiths Grove extradited from Phillipines

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- A Smiths Grove man who police say is connected to a murder in Bowling Green has been extradited back to the United States from the Philippines.

U.S. Marshals in Atlanta now have Antonio Wilson, 39, in custody.

Wilson will soon be sent back to Bowling Green and answer the charges of murder by conspiracy, tampering with physical evidence and abuse of a corpse.

Police say Wilson hired another man, Jeffrey Smith, to kill Smajo Miropija. Miropija was found dead in February at a business on Porter Pike in Bowling Green.

Police say Wilson fled to the Philippines after police tried to question him about the case.
