Jail buys new Tasers, restraint chairs

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- The Warren County Regional Jail is updating some of its equipment that staff members use in order to keep themselves safe.

The jail is purchasing 12 new Tasers and four new restraint chairs.

This money is not coming out of the county’s general fund, instead the equipment is being purchased through a grant the jail received from companies for capital improvement projects.

Jailer Stephen Harmon said the old Tasers are outdated and cannot be serviced, while the old restraint chairs are an outdated design.

Harmon is hoping to get the equipment within the next week.
