Guns and methamphetamine recovered during arrest in Hart County
MUNFORDVILLE, Ky.- A convicted felon is back in jail after sheriff’s deputies say he had multiple weapons and drugs in his possession.
On Saturday, investigators responded to a report of shots being fired on Aetna Furnace Highway.
When they arrived, authorities say they detained a man who had three rifles, Kevlar body armor and over 10 grams of suspected methamphetamine.
Christian Ward, 27, of Shelbyville, was arrested and charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, three counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and persistent felony offender.
He’s being held in the Hart County jail without bond.
Deputies say more arrests are expected.
