Kiwanis Soap Box Derby presents awards
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Though the race was in May, the celebration still continues as the Kiwanis Club hosts the award ceremony for the children who placed in the event.
Winners come from two divisions, namely the stock and super kids, which is specifically for children with special needs.
One participant, 16-year-old Clay Harris, told us that being able to compete in this race despite his physical challenges brought him happiness.
Kids who place in both stock and super kid division will have the opportunity to take on kids from around the world in Akron, Ohio for a chance to win on an even bigger scale. For more information on this event and others hosted by the Kiwanis Club, you can head to bgkiwanis.org.
