Cave Country Trails Challenge names 1st winner; $350 prize package
FRANKLIN, Ky. – Cave Country Trails Challenge rewarded its first winner Thursday morning!
With over 100 challenge entries, kayak enthusiast Junior Duvall won June’s Challenge prize.
Thanks to Simpson County Tourism Commission, Horse Cave/Hart County Tourism & Munfordville Tourism Duvall walked away with around $350 worth of prizes.
Duvall won a couple rounds of golf at Kinney Perry’s Country Creek, a visit to Dueling Grounds Distillery, two tours at Sanford Duncan Inn, and more.
The challenge runs monthly through October, and July’s challenge is already in full swing.
Duvall already knows what he’ll do with his prize package when he returns to Franklin.
“Relax, and explore,” he exclaimed. “That’s always a big thing for [my wife and me] is to see what a community has to offer.”
Simpson County Tourism Commission Executive Director Amy Ellis said, “[Franklin is] the newest member [of the Cave Country Trails Challenge, so we were excited to kick off the campaign with that!”
