$600,000 biennial budget to go to small business owners
Budget to support funding for Housing Authority of Bowling Green
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Great news for future small business owners in Bowling Green.
Monday, legislators signed off on the biennial state budget to appropriate funds for the operation of state government and to benefit our local communities.
Included in the two year budget plan is $600,000 in funding which will go to the Housing Authority of Bowling Green.
The organization will use the funds to support low-income, minority and women-owned businesses who need a financial boost to get their business off the ground.
The Housing Authority says that rent is the single biggest expense for start-up businesses and with the newly announced funds they’ll be able to provide a space with affordable rents to enhance these businesses.
