National Corvette Museum receives $10,000 grant
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.-A $10,000 grant has been given to the National Corvette Museum to help fund programs that teach teens learn to drive safely.
The grant is provided by State Farm Insurance as part of their Good Neighbor Grant initiative.
Funding will go to Mechanics Clinic, Driver Safety Awareness Day and Tire Rack’s Street Survival.
State Farm has partnered with the museum to provide financial support for the teen driving programs since 2013.
At the Corvette Museum, it’s long been a priority to educate young drivers about safety.
“They do hands on coaching behind the wheel. They learn where their blind spots are. They learn where things like semi’s blind spots are, and other tips and tricks to driving. We also do a mechanics class, which teaches them under the hood tips and tricks; so, how to change a flat and how to check your oil,” said Katie Ellison, spokesperson of the National Corvette Museum.
In total State Farm has given $94,000 in contributions to the museum over the years.
