Woman arrested in Morgantown on drug charges

MORGANTOWN, Ky. – On Monday around 10:30 p.m., an Edmonson County Sheriff’s Deputy observed a white Honda Accord traveling east on Morgantown Road and crossing over the center line multiple times.

According to a press release by ECSO, the vehicle failed to yield and passed two safe pull-off spots before coming to a stop.

The passenger was identified as Brittany Witten-Parsons, 27, of Big Clifty. A drug complaint had recently been received from Butler County Sheriff’s Office on Witten-Parsons, and a Butler County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit confirmed the presence of drugs in the vehicle, stated the release.

Witten-Parsons was arrested and charged with possession of controlled substance, first offense (methamphetamine), and possession of marijuana.

Witten-Parsons was lodged in the Hart County Jail.
