Man arrested in Park City on multiple charges

PARK CITY, Ky. – On Thursday, the Barren County Sheriff’s Office received a call in reference to a man who was suspected of slashing a woman’s tires and threatening her with a knife at 3309 Glasgow Road.
According to an arrest citation by the BCSO, upon arrival, a deputy made contact with the suspect, Jason Wood, 27, who had an unidentifiable object in his hand.
The citation states the deputy instructed the suspect to drop the object and turn around to walk toward him, where the deputy then placed the suspect in handcuffs. During a search, deputies located a pocket knife in Wood’s front jean pocket, as well as two empty white bags.
Deputies also observed a pill bottle with suspected methamphetamine inside it next to a vehicle in the driveway, along with multiple pieces of a white crystal substance. The substance was confirmed as methamphetamine after a field test.
Wood was placed under arrest and charged with poss cont sub, 1st degree, 1st off (methamphetamine), tampering with physical evidence, criminal mischief, 2nd degree, resisting arrest, terroristic threatening, 3rd degree and public intoxication-controll sub (excludes alcohol).
Wood was lodged in the Barren County Detention Center.
