8th Annual local Toys for Tots Motorcycle ride takes off Saturday

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Bikers are revving up their engines, ready to roll into Bowling Green once again for Toys for Tots.

Saturday morning, you can join the fleet of motorcycles riding in for the city’s 8th Annual Toys for Tots.

Marines, sailors and volunteers use this program to collect Christmas toys or donations.

In fact, Bikers across the US come to Bowling Green’s Doug’s Motor City Bar & Grill to help make local kids’ Christmas dreams come true.

Registration starts 9 a.m. Saturday while kick-stands lift at 11 a.m. While you’re there, you can buy t-shirts while they last and throw your hat in for Harley Davidson raffle items.

Be sure to come hungry, because there will be a big breakfast special for riders.

Toys for Tots Southern Kentucky Coordinator Janel Doyle said, “Doug from Doug’s Motor City has always been a great supporter of this program. He’s a Marine himself. He always asks us to come out here, and he does his part in getting this promoted and having a great turnout from the community due to the weather, all for a great cause! This is all for the children to have a better Christmas.”

The fee to ride is $20 per bike or donate a new, unwrapped toy.
