70-year-old man found dead after fire in Whitley County

ROCKHOLDS, Ky. – One man is dead following a house fire in Whitley County.
According to the Kentucky State Police, troopers were notified Tuesday by Whitley County 911 of a fatal house fire in the Rockholds community of Whitley County.
Authorities say while extinguishing a fire, firefighters located a dead male in the residence.
The male was later identified as 70-year-old Eddie W. Lester of Rockholds.
Lester was pronounced dead on scene by the Whitley County Coroner’s Office. He was removed from the home and transported to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.
The case remains under investigation. The Kentucky State Police was assisted by Whitley County EMS, the Whitley County Coroner’s Office, the Kentucky State Fire Marshals Office, and the Rockholds, Woodbine, Emlyn and Corbin fire departments.
