2 teenagers arrested on theft charges in Warren County
*1 p.m. UPDATE* Warren County Sheriff Brett Hightower tells WNKY that Destin Long is believed to be connected to several other vehicle break-ins in the Drakesborough neighborhood. Hightower says Long is one of the suspects seen in surveillance video from the neighborhood showing two men opening car doors. Hightower says some of the stolen property has been recovered from those thefts. BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- The Warren County Sheriff’s Office arrested two teenagers early Wednesday morning on theft charges.
According to a news release from the sheriff’s office, deputies responded to a call on Saturn Way at 1:24 a.m. for suspicious activity.
Deputies arrested Destin Long, 19, of Bowling Green and Muhamed Ademi, 19, of Alvaton.
Long was charged with theft by unlawful taking from a vehicle-under $500, theft by unlawful taking-over $500, first-degree criminal mischief, possession of marijuana, and third-degree escape.
Ademi was charged with public intoxication, third-degree criminal trespassing, theft by unlawful
taking from a vehicle-under $500 and theft by unlawful taking-over $500.
Long and Ademi were lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail.
