2 indicted on human trafficking charges involving minor in Russell County

RUSSELL SPRINGS, Ky. – Two people are formally charged with human trafficking involving a minor in Russell County.
According to an indictment filed on May 26, 47-year-old Melina Bell of Russell Springs and 29-year-old Trevor Taylor of Whitley City were indicted on charges of human trafficking, among other offenses.
In addition, Taylor was indicted on third-degree rape, third-degree sodomy and persistent felony offender, while Bell was indicted on third-degree complicity to rape and third-degree complicity to sodomy.
The indictment further states the charges resulted from offenses allegedly committed in April.
According to court documents, Taylor engaged “in sexual intercourse” with a victim “less than 16 years old.”
Both remain at the Russell County Detention Center on a $250,000 cash bond.
