1 dead after reported exchange of gunfire with law enforcement in Clarksville

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – One man has died after allegedly exchanging gunfire with law enforcement in Clarksville.
According to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, the male that was struck by gunfire has been identified as 33-year-old David McRae. Authorities say McRae later died.
According to the authorities, TBI special agents are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the incident.

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Authorities are investigating an officer-involved shooting in Clarksville.
According to a media release, Clarksville Police Department officers responded to a domestic disturbance on Fairview Lane Monday morning. The caller told authorities that her adult son was outside of a home with a firearm and had discharged it.
Officers say that contact was made with the man, and gunfire was exchanged.
Authorities say the man was struck by gunfire and transported for treatment at an area hospital. His current condition is unknown, according to the release.
No officers were injured during the incident.
CPD says the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the District Attorney’s Office will lead the investigation of the officer-involved shooting.
CPD says there is no ongoing threat to the public.
