WKU Mesonet unveils new Trimble County station

BEDFORD, Ky. – The WKU Mesonet cut the ribbon on a new station Monday.

According to a release, a ceremony was held on April 20 to unveil the WKU Mesonet’s newest station, located in Trimble County Park in Bedford. It is the 85th site in the network.

WKU Mesonet says the station is the fifth out of six brought online in 2025, representing the largest year of growth since 2011.

According to its website, the WKU Mesonet is a sophisticated end-to-end system of 86 weather stations that gathers and distributes detailed information about weather, water, and climate across the state in real-time.
