Warren County Water District celebrates Drinking Water Week

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Warren County Water District is celebrating Drinking Water Week through May 11.

The week, which has been celebrated for the past few decades, has been a way to acknowledge and appreciate an everyday aspect of our lives and the people that help keep our drinking water clean.

This year, the WCWD is recognizing the employees who work hard to make sure we have safe water to drink, clean and play in.

Jill Harmon, the manager of human resources at the Warren County Water District, tells News 40 that it is important to recognize that work to keep our water clean, especially during the hottest months of the year when we are using it the most.

WCWD prides itself ensuring safe water through over 1,000,000 tests a year and serving those not just in Warren, but Simpson and Butler counties as well.

To celebrate Drink Water Week. WCWD is celebrating with their Food Truck Frenzy, where a different food truck will be parked in their parking lot every day this week, weather permitting.
